Bard Family Market Garden We are a small sustainable market garden near Madison, Wisconsin, since 2013 Bard Family Market Garden is a joint venture by Katrina and Kevan Bard.

Kevan has been a sustainable vegetable gardener off and on for 20 years and we both attended market garden training through the UW-Extension and continue our education during our winter break. We reside in Madison, WI. Our mission is to provide high quality, great-tasting produce to our local community. We do not use synthetic pesticides and practice sustainable farming.

Each year we are proud to work with the Department of Horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with their seed potato production and breeding trials research program.

This season we planted 26 varieties of heirloom, specialty and new potato lines. We report our observations throughout the growing season using an online tool called SeedLinked.

Tuber health and economics are the main objective of this trial.
