Soil sampling has begun which is a very important intervention that must take place before planting 30,000 strawberry plants‼️Our first year, we planted 5,000. Wow, we are so blessed by our community and all surrounding areas who support a little family with a local owned business. Now, with a background in nursing 20+ years, I can go on and on about to many things. So many fruits and vegetables are seasonal which means we stave for them during the winter months. Not good. I have always been an educator in my part of nursing. Look ahead, make sure you keep you nutritional intake positive all year long. Studying the boiling of blackberry leaves. Very interesting. Just education here- go ahead and buy your watermelons, cantaloupe, peaches. Grab you some ginger root. Bend it in a blinder and you have your juice for the week.
There is so many veggies you can go ahead and start washing, freeze on wax paper and cookie sheet for 2 hour (called flash freezing) then just through them in a freezer quart zip lock bag.
Come on out to the little farmer’s market on The farm and get you some yummy fruits , veggies, homemade casseroles, salad days lettuce with all the fixings‼️

Always remember, support your family owned local businesses. Support your farmers that bring so much pure beef and pork to your table. Farmer’s work very hard to provide safe and healthy food for us and our families. You just don’t want to know how much it is to have a pig or a cow processed. Some of you know and it’s not cheap. Let’s continue to support businesses so that we can continue to search for fresh local fruits and vegetable in our state‼️ headed to a great Mississippi ❤️
