Daddy-O Pilsner is named for Parker “Bullet” Hall, an All-American and Linus' granddad, known to his family as Daddy-O. Hall went on to Cleveland and had one heck of a rookie year in 1939 becoming the first NFL player to earn Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season.

That little piece of football history has lived on at Yazoo through our Daddy-O Pilsner.

Surprise! We have a very special collaboration with our dear friends Joel Stickrod and Spencer Longhurst!

"For Saison's Sake" is fermented with the Embrace The Funk Saison microbe blend and a special Brett Saison yeast blend. Brewed with Pilsner and spelt, oak aged then dry hopped with Mittlefrüh, Saphir and Tradition hops.

Packaged in 500ml and 1.5l bottles, naturally carbonated.

23 years ago, this was the taproom menu at the Marathon building. Pints were $3.75. So when we priced our Czech Lager, $3.75 wasn’t an accident.

We thought..A "Nashville Original" with a little Old Nashville pricing. Czech Lager properly poured: $3.75, all day, every day!

Funk Fest is coming back in 2027. But we’re resetting and taking it back to the beginning. Think 2013. Year One...the beers, brewers, food and the people who love this stuff as much as we do.

With this return I'm not trying to make it something it wasn’t. Just getting back to what made Funk Fest special in the first place. I knew people really enjoyed the event, but over the past 2 years the number 1 question I get asked is "Will you ever do Funk Fest again?" Yes.

The food from Jeremy Barlow, the brewer chats with John Holl and while we can't replace the amazingness of Kathleen Cotter's presence , I'm happy to say the cheese spread will return, prepared by head chef Bernard McKoy of Brickstore Pub.

I'm excited for this return to the good days. I'll have the exact date for everyone in the next few months. Cheers friends!
