Hello friends! I know it is a bit late, but I want to thank everyone for their kind words and blessings. It feels really weird to me that I am not at the front greeting people, asking people what size they want for their drinks, giving people their pastries, calling out people’s name for their order, explaining the difference between a milk tea and a smoothie, apologizing for not having the items they wanted, letting people know how long will it take for the next batch of bubble to be ready, reminding people that the drink tray is not the best at holding drinks, striking up a conversation by asking how their day was, or just having a good ol’ chat about, well, something. I miss those times. Of course, there are times that weren’t so great, like when our fridge decide to go on a strike in between our busiest days, but those, too, eventually becomes fun table-side stories that I can share and take a trip down memory lane.
Just like many of you miss Jade Mountain Bubble Tea, I also miss serving Jade Mountain Bubble Tea to you and to myself! Now that I have move on to the next journey in my life, I will focus on the current tasks I have at hand. However, I do hope one day, Jade Mountain can be back serving Taiwanese bubble tea and pastries to people again! In the mean time, go out and explore and/or support other local businesses! I have a few favorite spots in town that I visit often. If you ever spot me somewhere (shouldn’t be hard, just look for the grey hair),feel free to come up and say howdy. Or just give me a look from a distance, it’s entirely up to you!

Hey there friends, some of you might recall us mentioning a business taking over the spot at our spot. Here are some information about them!

See you at The Bubbling Teapot! A cozy local cafe with the best bubble tea in Madison. We’re a minority/woman owned local business staffed by former Jade Mountain Cafe workers.

You may have heard that Jade Mountain Cafe recently closed. Well you won’t be without their teas for long as we’re here to bring new life to this spot. We will continue to import our quality teas sourced from Taiwan and keep having the best bubbles around.

We want to turn The Bubbling Teapot into a go-to space for the local community that’s inclusive and welcoming to all. With time and funding, we’ll gradually transform into a cozy, dreamy tea shop straight out of a fantasy novel.

Hi there friends. As some of you may already know, 9/3 will be the last day for Jade Mountain Cafe. After almost 12 years of serving traditional Taiwanese bubble teas in the neighborhood, we are taking an indefinite break. There is no way to express the gratitude we have for everyone that has supported us all these years in a few sentences, but we thank everyone who has been on this journey with us. For those who are concerned, we are not closing because of any hardship or challenge (though COVID has definitely been hard for everyone), we are just exploring other opportunities in life. That is also why we call this an "indefinite break" rather than an end. There is a possibility that we might bring back Jade Mountain in the future, so definitely check back here (Instagram/Facebook) every once in a while for any updates!

That's all we have right now, we will post more updates when we have them. Please help us spread the words so people can come in enjoy their last few rounds of Jade Mountain bubble tea in the next few weeks. Again, 9/3 (Saturday of the Labor Day weekend) will be our last day, and we are only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11AM-5PM. Stop by and say hi!

Definitely not our favorite weather, but it’s finally a warm enough day for some of us to enjoy iced bubble teas!Stay dry out there! 🧋

Here’s the promised update on our 2022 Lunar New Year specials: We’ve added Sun Cake太陽餅 to the family and hope you can enjoy this Taiwanese pastry with us 🤤
Sun cake’s filling is mainly made with malt sugar. This famous, pancake-looking, Taiwanese dessert has a soft but almost chewy filling wrapped in paper-thin layers of pastry. WARNING: It’s super flaky! Eat with a plate or napkin, or have a pet ready.
For the next two weekends (1/22-23 & 1/29-30), we will have our housemade taro pastry #芋頭酥 , pineapple cake #土鳳梨酥 , and sun cake #太陽餅 , for you to pick up and try. Pre-order is now also live via our online shop (link in bio) if you are interested in getting a larger quantity (and have your pastries come in a nice gift box!). Get your orders in by the end of Thursdays (1/20 & 1/27) for their coming weekends!
