Genetics are a funny thing.
Two baldies. Same herd. Same management.
#37 is a Monopoly; USA genetics top and bottom. The NT baldy is a SAM; France on top, USA on bottom.
Different pedigrees. Different stories.
That's our herd in a nutshell.
We didn't build it from one cow family or one breeding philosophy. Embryos, semen, show heifers, and every now and then we kept a recipe’s heifer that just made sense.
The good news? It's working.
These cattle are developing into the kind we enjoy feeding—attractive, functional, productive cattle that can go out and do a job.
At the end of the day, keep the kind you like.
These are the kind I like.
