I have to admit that I am not much of a book/story reader. I am slow and at time really have a hard time understanding what I am reading especially with in the future type stories which is what this is. I was with it at first then the story changed on me. Went from an IRS audit to in the future alien stuff. I was captivated and though I knew where the story was going then nearer the end I started to have the feeling it was going somewhere else. Which I was right and that was ok, put an interesting twist to the story as it ended. As any book/story goes you have to read it yourself not just take a review at face value. So having said that I recommend you read this and see for yourself if you like it or not.

Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 (Audio CD)

I am in the process of listening to the audio of this book. I am not a big reader of book and this is my first audio that I have listened to. It was a little slow going for me but I kept going and the story started to get more interesting and exciting. There is a lot to take in and it will take some time to get though the full book but I can't wait to see what happens at the end.

There are many time when music is used for different things and the music in this audio is very calming and fits to the story being told perfectly. Also the narrator really does a great job. Very easy to understand with a pleasant voice.

All in all even though I have not finished the book I am happy with the story and would recommend it to those who are into this type of story line.

So I am not a huge reader but when I do find something I am interested in I usually end up really liking it. This one was a little slow at the beginning and I almost decided to not finish it but I decided to give it a try. And I am glad I did, it turned out to be very good and exciting. I really would recommend this for others to read.
