🌻 August on the Farm🌻
Whew… August was HOT! ☀️ Between endless weeding, summer pests, keeping everything watered, and soaking up every sweet cuddle with Baby M, the month flew by. 💛
We’ve been busy preparing for fall — rebuilding beds in the Hoophouse, tending the fields, and getting our next crops started.
The Hoophouse is heading into its second growing season with cherry tomatoes, arugula, salad mix, and more baby greens.
Outside, we’re transitioning into fall crops with **lots of carrots, radishes, peas, and greens**, while still harvesting beans, peppers, okra, green onions, winter squash, melons, and cucumbers.
Soon we’ll be transplanting cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Napa, kale, chard, onions, and more!
And because farming always keeps us on our toes… our tiller decided to call it quits. 😅 We picked up a smaller machine to keep moving while I continue saving toward a BCS tractor — a big investment, but one that would make a huge difference on the farm.
One of the most exciting things happening is that farm shares are finally here!🥕 This has been a dream for a long time, and I’m so excited to finally offer them to our community.
