🥚✨ The incubator is being loaded today! ✨🥚
In about 21 days, we’ll have some beautiful “Easter Eggers” hatching! While CKD Farms focuses on breeding multi-generation Olive Eggers, I occasionally hatch a few fun feathered and colorful eggs to bring even more variety into my breeding program.
These eggs came from Tumbleweed Chickendom after I won an egg drop, and I’m especially excited about this hatch. In fact, about 90% of my current breeding stock traces back to her Olive Eggers, Ameraucanas, Legbars, and Marans that I’ve selectively backcrossed to create my dream Olive Egger breeding pens.
I’ll be keeping my favorites from this hatch to help shape future breeding projects, but approximately 40–50% of these chicks will be available once they hatch! 🐣
And the best part? By Fall 2026, I’ll have even more multi-generation Olive Eggers producing those gorgeous olive, mossy green, and mint-colored eggs I’ve been working toward.
