This is the week that I'm usually sliding the first pumpkin pies in the oven. With the 90 degree temperatures that we have been having, I don't think anyone is in the mood for them yet. (Every time I make this, someone asks why I call it Mississippi Sourdough. This is a bread for people who don't like extra "stuff" in their bread. Made only with a blend if white and wheat flour, water, salt and my sourdough culture that lives on the naturally occurring wild yeast present at the bakery which happens to be very near the Mississippi River.)
