Lexington North Carolina is famous for its BBQ, and what goes better with BBQ than HOT SAUCE!! We will be set up with all of sauces to sample, so stop on by! Don't forget to come on out to the Lincoln County Apple Festival, Saturday Oct 17th in downtown Lincolnton! Made In Maiden, NC will be there with all of our handcrafted, flavor-forward hot sauces and candied jalapenos. We even crafted a special spicy apple muffin in honor of the apple festival. "Not So Mello Yellow" is simmering nicely and ready to be blended and bottled! Talk about a 2 day labor of love! This very bright hot sauce has lemon zest and pineapple and just so very very good! Just wish it wasn't such a beast to make!

We stopped by Cooked For You to talk flavor and food. I have to say I was amazed at the amount of flavor and balance in the dishes we brought home! The Latino Chicken and Chorizo had just the right balance of spice and heat. If I wanted to kick it up, I would use our "Maiden Madness", but it honestly didn't need it. The Chicken Pot Pie had an a great flaky crust and tender chicken and vegetables...which I added just a smidgen of "Dianne's Cayenne"...which I always do on pot pie! The lasagna was a warm Italian hug that makes you think of Sunday dinner! No sauce needed or wanted! Lastly, was filet mignon with roasted potatoes for that classic meat and potatoes meal...gonna heat the leftovers and do steak and egg and potato breakfast with some classic Verde "Gobblin" hot sauce. We are looking forward to tomorrow's peach habaner chicken thighs featuring Made In Maiden, NC Peach Habanero hot sauce! If you haven't tried their take home meals, you are missing out...all natural AND tastes great!
