Yesterday was a bittersweet day. The Bagwell Bunch who have boarded with us for the past four years finally got to go home with their family. We are so happy that this family is reunited, these babies were never forgotten and always loved. We have become quite attached to them and will miss them dearly. The new farm they are going home to be fabulous. We love you boys!

Paisley needs a family who understands that shy pigs may need time and patience to build trust. She would do best with people who will respect her boundaries and allow her to approach at her own pace. ❤️

She has done well around dogs, cats, and chickens, but as always, dogs and pigs should never be left together unsupervised. One of Paisley’s biggest needs is companionship. She is currently the only pig and her owners would love to see her placed in a home where she may have other compatible pigs to keep her company.

A few weeks ago, Goochland Pet Lovers partnered with Goochland County Parks & Recreation for our second annual Animal Camp, bringing local kids together for a week of learning, animal encounters, and lessons in kindness.

Throughout the week, campers had the opportunity to learn about the many ways animals enrich our lives, the important roles they play in our communities, and what it means to treat them with compassion and respect.

We kicked off the week with a few very special animal visitors!

On Monday, Josh Vaden shared his knowledge of hunting dogs, giving campers a look at their training, instincts, and the partnership they share with their handlers. Campers also met Poppy the pig and Ginny the alpaca with Holly Torres from Swine Knot.

It was just the beginning of a week filled with fascinating animals and plenty of opportunities to learn.

We are so sorry to share that Oliver passed peacefully this morning. One of the Bagwell Bunch, he's spent the last 4 years here at Swine Knot. We've loved him and enjoyed his antics every day that we were blessed to spend with him. But the loving tribute from his family captures his true spirit. We will always have a place in our hearts where Ollie's memory lives on.

"It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Oliver today. He was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and was in much pain, so we made the compassionate choice to end his suffering.

Oliver filled our lives with joy and laughter with his mischievous behavior. He was our boundary breaker, making us chase him down or call the neighbor to come get him when he escaped the pasture. He was the pickiest eater we’ve ever known and would literally gag at the sight of an egg! He loved fresh warm laundry to the point he would jump in the dryer. We love you and will miss you terribly!!

Rest now and be free with your piggy family…Virginia, Jonah, Stella, Gus, and Clementine will be there to greet you at the rainbow bridge. 🌈 🐷 💔"

We've been dying to spill the beans. We could not be more excited and happy for two of Valentine's babies to become part of the Swan Swine Services family. We've known Harley for around 15 years. Even before she was an amazing pig farrier she was already one of the best pig moms we've ever met. Congratulations to the whole Swan herd!

📣 🎉 Big Announcement 🎉 📣

Punkin had such a great time at piggy camp getting spoiled by her favorite Aunt Holly at Swine Knot ! 🐖 ⛺️ ❤️ She played in the pool, snuggled in the hay, accidentally went viral, and lived her best vacation life.

But she was also keeping a big secret! 🤫 While she was there, she was also doing some interviews for the new interns. 🤭 ✔️📋 Also known as … little sisters!

Holly at Swine Knot rescued Agatha and Hecate’s mom, Valentine, not knowing that she was expecting. 💌 🤰 🐷 She got a wonderful piglet surprise soon after. Holly has being doing an amazing job giving all the piglets the best start in life and giving mom all the love and care she deserves now that she’s safe and happy. The girls are 5 months old and got lots of time with mom to learn how to be piggies.

But now they’re ready to join our family and start their training. It’s a lot of work being adorable for a living. They’re starting off as interns but I’m sure they’ll work their way up the ladder in no time! 🤣 🪜 🤓 Big sister Punkin is taking her job very seriously and I know she’ll be the best mentor.

Welcome home babies! Mom loves you so much already. 💕 🐽 💕
