Our sale mushrooms are not "seconds" or B- grade or old stock. Fresh picked quality at an affordable price because while specialty mushrooms may not be dirt cheap, they don't have to be an expensive luxury.

Gearing up for a beautiful day at markets! Boats are full and deals are ready for you. If you reserved a 3 lb bag we have them set aside with your names. Those of you who attend market in Carbondale may have noticed Ben has been gone the last couple weeks. He had a heart attack and underwent triple bypass surgery and has quite the recovery ahead of him and can't work or do much while he heals up. Ben helps me on the farm constantly. He kept things rolling along while I was in the hospital and while healing afterwards. Over the last 15 years he has become like family and can use our help now. If you can, please pitch in and share. Every little bit helps, even a share. If cash or in person donations are preferred let us know at market and we can get that to him as well.

Not as glamorous for the Internet as the grow house, but no less important! The production barn is where the real magic happens. Mixing substrate, steam sterilizing, rapid cool down, inoculation, and incubation all happen here. Depending on species they can spend a few weeks to several months in the production barn and as little as 7 days in the grow house.

Have a great crop of chestnuts coming on this year. Just a few more weeks and they should start to drop. The oldest pecans are looking good as well. May even have a few of those for sale this fall 🤞
