Friendly reminder that the farm is not open to the public. I don't have a store (yet....) and live a very busy life with kids and the business. If you pop in unannounced odds are I won't be available to help you. With how quickly mushrooms grow and are sold I may not even have what you are looking for that day.

I try to hold sales with open farm hours a couple times of year for those who would like to stop by and visit. Outside of those, if you'd like to stop by please contact me first. That way I can let you know what is available and what times I'm available to help you.

I'm sorry folks, I will NOT be at The Farmers Market of Carbondale after all. My truck sprung a fuel leak and is in the shop. I thought I could use my brother's old Camry, but I just can't fit my tent and gear.

I'll see y'all tomorrow. Selection will be down a little, but I'll have some absolutely perfect shiitake, black king oyster, and chestnut.

New crops are growing great and I'll be back to our usual full production over the next couple weeks!

Tomorrow, Saturday May 9th is market day! At the market you can enjoy live music by RuthAnn and LizzieJane while you shop and visit with ourcommunity group Confluence Books. SIUC Graduation Day is tomorrow and Mother's Day is almost here; luckily the market has some great gift options as well as food options for this weekends events! We hope you can come out and support our local farmers, makers, music, and community group from 8am till noon at 2015 West Main Street.

There will be produce, micro greens, plant starts, mushrooms, dairy (milk and yogurt), meats (beef, bison, chicken, pork, turkey), Eggs (chicken & duck), coffee (to drink at market or bags of beans), baked goods (baguettes, breads, cookies, donuts, pies, pizza crusts, turnovers, etc.), freeze dried candies and fruits, freshly prepared food by Pita Alley, native plants, potted plants and hanging baskets, trees, cut flowers and bouquets, house plants, hot sauces and hot honey, locally created spices, jewelry for all ages, soaps, lotions, candles, artwork (decretive tiles, coasters, etc.), glass bird feeders, crocheted items, and more!

I don't post selfies, so you know this is important!

Thank you everyone for all the love and support. I have been completely overwhelmed with messages, meals, offers of help, donations, and more. You are all amazing and every little bit has been encouraging and helpful beyond words.

I am not quite 100% yet but so much better and getting better every day. Last week we got back in the groove of production and keeping it up. We'll be back on track in just a couple weeks.

That said, right now I'm in a production gap and will NOT be at any markets this weekend. Fingers crossed I'll have a little bit available for next week.

This is where your support is really coming to the rescue. Mushroom farms need consistent new batches made every week to maintain fresh product down the line. I was unable to do that for over a month and now it's catching up. This is the longest production gap in 15 years by a large margin. Because of all of you, I'm able to weather this and keep bills paid and new batches made again.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!! I'm coming back better and stronger then ever before. I was greatly humbled and have a fresh appreciation and drive. I look forward to showing you all how much of a difference your help has really made.

Our fish tank is our pond brought inside. Bluegill, Crappie, and Big Mouth Billy. Billy gets ferocious if we skip a day feeding him! Luckily his food is a quick cast net away in the pond.
