Anyone who knows me in real life knows its been a whirlwind of a year, mom was diagnosed with brain cancer in may and we've been dealing with that for that last few month, than to add insult to injury trevor lost his job at the beginning of July due to plant closures. So I havent been posting much on this page and I've had no gardens this year, everything died when mom was in the hospital. That being said I'm still trying my hardest to feed the kids and us the best food I possibly can with 5 kids at home 2 being teenagers thats rough with no income. Luckily I had months worth of grains from Azure stocked up as well as canned foods and we're sourcing what we still can locally. Mornings like today make me thankful for the life we have. We drove down the road and grabbed some ground beef from Best Family Farms because if you're not getting your beef locally especially right now who knows what you're really getting. Than we hit some back roads and went to Smith Brothers Creamery to pickup milk they have the best milk around. Finally as a little treat we stopped at Meyers Specialty Market to get some cinnamon rolls something we use to do as a friday trip every week but hasnt been possible lately. As rough as things have been I'm thankful we are able to do these small things right now and I'm thankful for these farmers that have the locally raised cattle for the milk and beef we consume.
