Growing and growing! We have got a variety of things started this year. We wanted to let everyone know that within light of everything happening we do not plan to sell any plants at this time. If anything changes we will let everyone know. Love to all and I hope you all stay safe in your homes. I pray that this “learning curve” is over soon and we can find a new normal. I still plan to show y’all some of the fun and interesting things happening here at the farm from time to time.

Hello everyone! The most eventful thing going on was transitioning the sheep to the freezer. The next thing will be putting some more soil into the green house beds to prepare to plant some lettuce in there for the winter. The garden by the rabbit barn is giving us some lettuce and some carrots are growing too! So everything has calmed down the tomato plants were cleaned out and we are resting parts of the garden until next year. Looking forward to next year and all the wonderful goodies we can put out in the garden! 😊

So new around the farm are a couple of sheep. Initial reaction is “oh how cute!”

Fast forward to today just a little over 24 hours the “cute” sheep arrived Christopher informs me they have escaped their fortitude. After a few moments of finagling to get the gate open and not spook them farther from the pin finally start to creep forward. Great! Now they are trapped in a small. One side is the chicken coop, another the sheep pin, and on the third side Christopher and I. 😳 Y’all see where this is going?

When you trap sheep in a small area they retaliate! They CHARGE right at you! Christopher blocks the ram no problem. So here’s this sheep coming right for me. I’m ready! It cuts to the left and as it does these thoughts come to mind... if it gets away how much more running around are we going to be doing tonight? Llamas hurt if they run into you... these sheep weigh how much? Running full speed you say? So what do I do? I decided to lunge to the left stick my arm out and close line this sheep. All the while thinking, well this is going to hurt. 🤔 Let me tell you I’ll feel it in the morning! But hey I didn’t have to run after a sheep all night.... So Jenna 👩🏼‍🌾and Christopher 👨🏼‍🌾 1 Sheep 🐑 🐑0.

P.S. Sheep are a lot faster than you think!!!
