Last stretch of seeding and planting in the high tunnels before the fall season really kicks in.

Hopefully the weather stays fair long enough for these crops to grow to full size so we can hold them over all winter long.

Now its a race to grow before the daylight drops below 10hrs a day, as that really slows growth down!

Scallions, mustard greens, totsoi, arugula, hakeuri turnips, baby kale and lettuce mix are just some of the things were planting the latest that should make it deep into winter.

Fall on the farm...first eound of fall veggies are starting to pop off and our new tunnel is up.

Hakeuri turnips, mustard greens, radish, loose leaf chinese cabbage, winter radish, mesclun mix, and scallions.

One of the two Farmers Friend high tunnels we're building this fall is up and ready to be planted.

August 😮‍💨 arguably the hardest month for most veggie farmers in the Northeast...

Its hot, we're tired, on the verge on burning out and markets begin to dwindle.

The struggle of harvesting summers bounty, fighting weeds, and seeding and transplanting for fall and winter crops is real. Its a crucial time to push through, as the window for seeding and growing fall/winter crops dwindles with every passing week.

Today we seeded the first round of fall veggies! We'll continue seeding and transplanting through September moving into the high tunnels the later into the year we move.
