Tonight I lost my soul mate of the last 27 years. I understood his anger issues when he was young, I braved his 1400 lbs and admired him as he grew older and wiser and began to appreciate those that loved him and those loved by those that loved him. I loved the fact that he always protected me and I am grateful for the time we spent recently as I hugged him saying our time may be limited and we should appreciate each other because who knows how much time we have left together. I never thought it would be this short. A random kick causing fractures and a joint laceration/penetration and my guy is gone. I held my face to his nose as he went to sleep and I hope he crosses the rainbow bridge to see his friends and Honey so we can all meet up one day again. Always Ready - I am so privileged to have had the years spent age 6 - 33.
