Want to feed the squirrels and turkeys in your yard? Shocked by the insane store prices to feed some woodland critters?

That's where we come in! Our beautiful corn is fresh in from the fields, and ready to go out to those squirrel feeders, wandering turkeys, and maybe those pesky brown creatures that like to eat your favorite roses. Redirect their attention to something that tastes a whole lot better!!

Fresh 2025 corn, picked from our fields, offered direct. No middle man, no insane upcharge. When Stores want to charge you over $1/ # to feed those critters, come to us. And we're open on Sundays too! 😉😉

1/2 bushel box $10, or 3 for $25 (about 40 lbs per box)

1/4 bushel box $8 (about 20 lbs)

1/8 bushel box $6 (about 10 lbs)

This sweet girl has turned out just like her momma. She figured out how good those belly scratches are and she lays down for them.

Hopefully this girl is finally bred. She'll be able to be checked next week. Might be our first round of Piglets due for 2026. Been a hard year with all of the changes being made, having to retire our primary boar, and just overall adjusting to our littlest farm hand.

We've had a lot going on this year, which is why the page hasn't been all that active. A lot of changes, restructuring, and reevaluating what we want to do moving forward. We took some time to step the farm back a bit, so we can rebuild it a bit better. Our cattle herd has shrunk, as have the hogs. This is only temporary as we reclaim better genetics and better temperaments, and make better groups going forward. We've had a lot of problems this year which we have addressed as we go, which has resulted in some major changes, but this will allow us to come back better and stronger in the coming years. While we didn't have much of anything for product this year, that should be changing next year.

Growing pains suck, but are necessary.

When you see a post about domestic ducks dumped at a public park, you do what you can to help.

These two boys were recovered from Medalie Park in Traverse City. As is common, someone felt the need to dump their unwanted domestic ducks, without regard for the fact that dumping them is a death sentence. Domestic ducks (aside from Muscovy) cannot fly and have limited options to get away from predators. These two are also clearly very hungry, which means scavenging for their food has not gone well. Both are also thin for their size, attesting to their lack of food.

According to the employee at the rental hut, the birds have been out there for a few weeks, thankfully being fed by the employees so they at least had some food to increase their chances.

Today, the 2 Drake's were safely recovered and brought back to our farm. They will spend the next 30 days in quarantine, especially after being exposed to so many wild ducks and geese, then they will be introduced to the rest of our duck and geese flock, if we don't have a fully established bachelor duck flock before then. And though it is not visible in the video, yes, there is a duck house for them as well and the food will be moved into said house after they have had their fill and got some play time in their temporary pool.
