The dust has now settled on the World Food Championships in Indianapolis, IN. They just recently posted results of their Super Qualifier Cookoff.

Team Serious Hog is over the moon excited to learn we finished 4th overall w a score of 97.1 out of a 100 against 24 other incredible cooks w our loaded Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese.

I shared this w my friends and wanted to share it with you. I am extremely proud of how it turned out.

This is our Jalapeno Popper grilled cheese that we created and entered into the World Food Championships Super Ancillary on Saturday, Oct 18th. The results haven't been posted yet so we don't know how it fared.

The World Food Championships is just around the corner and we are fine tuning my noodle recipe and taking the EAT judging class there. This class has been on my bucket list for years.

So happy that Matt Rooks and Rick Morris are going to be sous chefs in the cooking arena. They both Rock!

Haven't updated in a while, been dealing w medical issues, which are finally getting resolved. Let me just say pancreatitus is no joke.

After Lynchburg we traveled to the Nashville SCA State Championship where Mr. Serious Hog placed an incredible 1st in ribs and Qualified for the SCA Championship.

9th in dessert led to me being passed a Golden Ticket from my good friend Catherine Alford Noble, while Jill Katrina Snider placed 8th in Steak A and 3rd in Steak B, and was passed a Golden Ticket as well.

After that, me and Mr. Serious traveled to Cartersville, GA for their multi-state chili cookoff where my award winning smoked brisket chili was awarded 1st in Crockpot Chili and 1st in Crockpot People's Choice. To God be the Glory!

Had a blast at Jack Daniel's Frontier Days SCA.

3rd Place, out of 25 teams, w Jack Daniel's ibfused candied bacon, apple cobbler w homemade whipped topping.

White chocolate Jack Daniel's infused bread pudding baked in a Lodge Cast iron skillet made as practice for an upcoming SCA event. Although it is not the dessert I chose. It turned out really good.

Experimenting in the kitchen again w pulled pork hoe cakes and cherry-mandarin orange salsa.

The pulled pork is actually in the hoe cake.

I shared this on my personal page, but thought u might want to get a cooler, tumbler, etc., before they r all sold out. In yesterday they have done as well or better than more expensive brands.

So another great business is closing. Thus one makes me really sad as ORCA (Outdoor Recreation Company Of America) makes top notch products andI have bought a lot over the years.

Their merch is reduced on their website and locally at Copy Solutions in Franklin, TN. Once it's gone, it's gone. Get it while u can!

Was thrilled to finish 4th in State at the Alabama State CASI Chili cookoff after losing a tie for 3rd (out of 15 awesome chili cooks).

I struggled to find a beanless chili I really liked and after 3 years, I finally have one that I can experiment in the kitchen with.
