šSummer 2026, thatās a wrap. Itās been a busy one. A hard one. A fulfilling one. We have:
ā¢Added a new fence to a section of our pasture that has made sorting and moving much less stressful on the cattle and usš
ā¢Completed our first timed AI breeding on part of our herd. Excited for some quality calves with new genetics next springš¤š»š§¬
ā¢Baled 2 cuttings of hay and hauled it homešš¾
ā¢Lost our newest bull, 10 days into his first breeding season, due to an unfortunate injury. We had to regroup and go bull shopping again. We have introduced 2 new herd bulls into the mix and are hopeful to see what future progeny are coming from thosešššø
ā¢Restored and fenced a new pasture that has become our āheifer penā. We will be able to keep replacements separate to be with a heifer bull. We can watch them closer to make sure they are developing correctly for future herdsš ļøšŖ
ā¢Our private treaty bulls are almost ready to go. They will be completing BSEās soon and begin leaving this fall/winter. We are very excited how they are turning outšš„
ā¢This āSpitfire Angusā thing has really took hold since Gregory has came into the picture. Iām thankful for how hard he has worked and pushed for it to grow and improve. I canāt wait to see what the future holds for SAš¤©š¤
Sincerely,
