Yearlings! This is Hay Meadow Farm Ren Cen 🏙.

Ren is a dry yearling by Aerosmith. I love the looks of this girl, but she's still emerging from her awkward phase a bit.

Ren is super silly and cuddly, and has been doing a lot of growing over the summer. I really like how smoothly blended she is, and of course the gorgeous head and ears don't hurt a thing!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing her fresh next spring, and fingers are crossed 🤞 for a pretty udder!

Ren has been exposed for March kids to Lakeshore Metallica.

This year I retained a buck kid to keep my new Junior Herdsire company. Whelp, I decided that I like him a lot, and used him on a doe this week. I guess that means he deserves an introduction!

This is Hay Meadow Farm QMP Orion 💫

His dam is a very immature, but promising 2YOFF out of Aerosmith, Hay Meadow Farm A Lil Djibouti. He is the product of a breeding to a buck owned by a friend, and brings in some different genetics for us.

Orion has a really nice rump and great feet and legs, with lots of width throughout, a stellar front end assembly, and some pretty breed character.

He will be available for driveway service to a small number of outside does this fall (negative testing required). Orion will likely be available as a Herdsire prospect in the spring when I move my bucks around.

These fall mornings are my favorite for sunrise milking 😍.

I love this photo. Beautiful sunrise, beautiful doe... then you zoom in on her face and she proves how absolutely goofy she is 🙃

Hay Meadow Farm Patti Labelle
🎶🎙

Patti is an American Nubian, and is 3/4 sister to 2YOFF Hay Meadow Farm Anita Baker, and daughter of Hay Meadow Farm Gladys Knight 😊

Like the other does in her maternal line, she's a sweetheart, and has inherited her easy-going personality from both parents. Patti was one of our 2 week early premies this February, and like her littermate, she has thrived! She's inherited her dam's high thurl, flat rump and will be a fun one to show next year.

Patti did go to a couple of shows this year and got some great comments, though she was the youngest one in the senior kid class. Like Candy, she has a very exciting escutcheon, and was a willing participant in the "look mom, I'm wearing a gate" excitement last month. One to watch for SO many reasons 🤣

Patti will be a dry yearling next year.

Hay Meadow Farm Ferndale

Her dam Hay Meadow Farm SpirtofDetroit was a strong milker and had a beautiful mammary system!

Fern made it to a couple of shows this year, and placed very well, as high as 3rd in extremely tough, large intermediate kid classes. I really love that she's inherited the outgoing sweetheart personality this damline is famous for. I like how she's growing so far, and I'm looking forward to showing her again next year as a dry yearling! I'm also looking forward to seeing udders on a half sister and 3/4 sister next spring ❤️

❤️❤️❤️

"Candy" is a full sister to dry yearling Hay Meadow Farm Penny Lane, and there is a strong resemblance 😊

Like her big sister, she's a sweetheart, and has inherited her easy-going personality from both parents and I love working with her. This was her first time ever being posed for a picture!

While she's extremely dairy, she has some strength to her. She also sports a very exciting escutcheon, as we've come to expect from our Aerosmith daughters!

She's got a little awkwardness to grow through, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she looks like next year 👀. She will be a dry yearling for 2027.

We do have straws available (5/350), and he has some really beautiful daughters here 😍.

These two happen to share a braincell, but neither has custody at the moment 🙄. Girls, you are not supposed to wear a gate 🤦‍♀️

I don't think they were like this for too long. They were just casually standing there, like "now what?" No crying, just confused 😒.

Cue late-night fencing repair with WAY too many helpers.

Yes, the gate is not installed with opposing hinges. Now it's tied down with fencing over the holes.

Chaos monkeys, all of them.
