Our lettuce seeds sprouted overnight!!! This is our second planting, the first one was washed out by hard rains. These seeds we started in the house so we could protect from hard rain and the extreme heat. Lettuce germinates best at 55-70 degrees. These will be transplanted when they are large enough. Hoping to have fresh lettuce available to our customers by November. We will post when it’s available.

Those beautiful eyes and distinctive ears belong to one of North America’s most adaptable wild cats—the bobcat!

Bobcats are native to Ohio and can be found in forests, brushy areas, wetlands, and even places close to human development. They are powerful predators built for hunting.

🌿 Did you know?
• Bobcats get their name from their short, “bobbed” tail.
• Their large ears help them detect the sounds of prey, even when it’s hidden beneath vegetation.
• They are excellent hunters and can take prey much larger than you might expect.
• Bobcats are mostly solitary and are highly territorial.
• Their spotted and striped coat provides excellent camouflage, helping them disappear into the landscape.

This is why protecting natural habitat is so important.
