🌽🍅 Farm Stand is Open! 🍅🌽

We’re starting to get fresh produce in and are excited to share it with you! We’ll be adding more tomatoes as they sell, but with the chance of storms this evening, we didn’t want to stock too heavily today.

Fresh produce will be available daily as it’s harvested and ready. Our stand is self-serve, just like last year, making it easy to stop by whenever it’s convenient for you.

Thank you for supporting local produce—we appreciate your business!

Happy June, Master Gardener Volunteers! Our Plant of the Month is the wild strawberry. This perennial native plant is an ancestor of the hybridized domesticated strawberry. Though wild strawberries are smaller and more delicate than their descendants, they're often said to be far tastier! Wild strawberries can be distinguished from mock strawberries, a similar species found in Ohio, by their white flowers and seeds that look "sunken" into the flesh of the fruit. Mock strawberries have yellow flowers, and their seeds are more "spiky" in appearance. Wild strawberries are easy to grow in home gardens, and many native plant nurseries offer seeds or rooted stolons for purchase! We are closed for the season, but we still have the farm stand full of free plants. We added hot pepper plants in various varieties and eggplant plants to the stand today. Come take some or all.
Edit: We will be adding more items all day long including flowers. Greenhouse clean out is in full swing.
