Huge congrats to our friends over at 2nd Bridge Brewing Co. on the reopening and new partnership! đŸ»

The 2nd Bridge crew has always been a big part of the local craft beer community, and they’ve long been the spot in town for soccer fans to gather over some cold ones. âšœ

Small independent breweries aren’t competitors, we’re neighbors, collaborators, regulars at each other’s places, and people all working toward making Manchester a more fun, welcoming, and community-driven place to spend time.

We can’t wait to stop in for a pint (or 3) and support our friends. âšœ COYG âšœ Congrats again! Cheers! đŸ»

The Gang Goes to the Craft Brewers Conference đŸ»

Recently, Josh, Sean, and Sal set out for Philly
and came back with full notebooks, lots of swag (Sal), full bellies, and a few blurry memories.

Between the presentations, next-level innovation, and conversations with some seriously talented people in this industry, we packed a lot into a few days.

Philly showed up big. The hospitality, the breweries, the bars, the food
and we did our best to thoroughly research all of it. Call it professional development. Call it research.

Somewhere between the sessions and the stops, we found a little time to slow down, share stories, take a breath, and remind ourselves why we’re doing all of this in the first place.

We’re back at the Realm with some fresh ideas, new connections, and renewed momentum as we push through the permits, paperwork, and the general grind.

Huge congratulations to our fellow Connecticut breweries who brought home hardware at the World Beer Cup, seriously impressive stuff!!!

đŸ„‡ Counter Weight Brewing Company — Voided (Oatmeal Stout)
đŸ„ˆ Counter Weight Brewing Company — Drudenhaus (Smoke Beer)
đŸ„‡ Norbrook Farm Brewery — Doldrums of Winter (American-Style Imperial Stout)
đŸ„‰ Caius Farm Brewery — Balbilla (German-Style Kölsch)

From bold, world-class stouts to beautifully executed traditional styles, this is an incredible showing for our little state.

Cheers đŸ»

Next up in our Test Cocktail Series - Ember of the Sun.

A golden, sparkling cocktail that feels like sunlight in a glass.
Bourbon brings the warmth, lemon keeps it bright, and a touch of honey smooths it all out. There’s a light hint of orange blossom, and prosecco lifts it just enough to keep things fresh and enchanting.

We’ve been tinkering in the workshop

Testing, tasting, and summoning new ideas for when we open the Realm.

Introducing our Test Cocktail Series: An ongoing exploration of fresh, local ingredients and craft spirits we love.

First to emerge:

🐛The Garden Goblin
Featuring Eighth District Distilling Company, distilled right here in Manchester, CT

Bright. Herbal. A little wild, a little loud, yet still refreshing.
A perfect spring cocktail
assuming spring shows up and sticks around for more than a day.

More potions are on the way as we shape the cocktail program for opening day.

Meet the Guides of the Realm — Part IV

Every Realm needs someone to tell the story,
to capture the moments you don’t see, and share the ones you won’t forget.

Meet Cherie, Social Media & Content Manager, our Master of Scrolls.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve already seen her work.

Cherie is behind the camera, behind the posts, and behind a lot of the personality you’re seeing come to life. She’s the one turning ideas, details, and everyday moments into something real you can follow along with.

Outside the Realm, she’s a proud doggo mom to Cosmo, Cora, and Kaia, an avid PC gamer, and someone who’s always chasing the next great shot or story.

Drink of choice? Mead and Painkillers, fuel for both creativity and chaos.

She keeps the story moving, the vibe consistent, and the community connected.

Meet the Guides of the Realm – Part III

Sean — Head Brewer & Chief of Operations.

Sean founded Labyrinth Brewing Company in 2016, where he led production, operations, and distribution. He got his start in 2013, drawn in by the science of brewing—and like many brewers, that quickly turned into a constant drive to keep learning and getting better.

At Lost Realm, he leads brewing operations, recipe development, and distribution, helping shape not just the beer, but the experience around it. His focus is simple—make great beer, stay consistent, and create something people genuinely want to come back and be part of.

Outside the Realm, Sean’s roots run through heavy music—metal, hardcore—and years spent as both a vocalist and guitarist. When the weather turns, you’ll likely find him out on his motorcycle, or at home with his two cats, Noele and Darcy.

Favorite beer style: Barleywine.

Things are moving behind the scenes at the Realm

Demo is nearly wrapped and the space is opening up in a big way. Equipment is on site, plans are evolving, and the Realm is taking form.

There’s still a path of approvals to navigate, we’re working closely with the town, moving through each step and continuing to push things forward week by week.

We hear you on merch 👀 — a limited drop may be coming soon, and a Kickstarter later this spring/summer.

And
you might not have to wait for the doors to open to get your hands on Lost Realm beer đŸ»

Stay close. Cheers!

Meet the Guides of the Realm – Part II

Next up is Josh Morano — one of the founders of Lost Realm and the guy usually buried in spreadsheets
which is a lot less exciting than brewing, but someone has to do it.

Born and raised in Manchester, Josh brings over 25 years of experience in brewing and financial planning. He helps steer the business and oversees the financial and operational side of bringing the Realm to life.

He’s also leading development of the kitchen program and helping shape the overall Lost Realm experience — from the drink menu to the food, atmosphere, and occasionally brewing a batch to share some of his favorite recipes.

When he’s not working on the Realm, you’ll likely find Josh at a local live show, gaming, catching up with friends over a beer, or relaxing with a good book and something dark and/or strong in his glass.

He and his wife Cherie love exploring in their truck camper, using it as a basecamp to discover new breweries, wineries, and whatever adventures they stumble across along the way.

At home, Josh is usually surrounded by his doggos — Cosmo and Cora (the Iggys), and Kaia, the newest rescue and his loyal shadow.

Meet the Guides of the Realm – Part I

Every great gathering place is shaped by the people behind it.

At Lost Realm, we’re lucky to have a group of creators and guides helping bring the Realm to life. Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce some of the people shaping the spirit of this place.

First up — Sal.

Sal is one of the founders of Lost Realm and proudly carries the title Chief Vibe Officer — a very real job, and maybe the most important one.

Sal focuses on the culture and human side of the experience, helping shape the energy of the taproom and the connections that form inside it. He’ll also lend his creativity to the brewing side of the Realm, helping inspire and collaborate on some of the beers you’ll find on tap.

He believes in bringing back some of the roots of craft beer — the days when people lined up for special releases, shared stories with strangers, and felt part of something rare. A beer worth waiting for.

Outside the brewery, Sal is a self-taught musician with 28 years behind the drums, playing djembe with his band Intergalactic Kegger since 2018. When he’s not making music or brewing beer, you’ll likely find him fishing, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with his beagles Luna and Jax and his amazing wife Carolyn.

Favorite Beer Styles: Black IPA ‱ Schwarzbier ‱ Barleywine

Sal helps make the Realm feel like a place people want to stay awhile — and we’re lucky to have him guiding the way.

Stay tuned as we introduce more of the people helping bring Lost Realm Craft Co. to life.
