I love making cookie boxes for the holidays. This one is filled with mocha crinkles, soft molasses spice cookies with a spiced vanilla rum glaze, peppermint melt-always with a peppermint white chocolate buttercream, cardamom krumkaker, and dark chocolate peanut butter squares.

Banana pudding with toasted meringue, hummingbird cake, and whipped peanut butter filled devil’s food loaf cake.

Now that school is back in session full-time with some new responsibilities at work, I’m not as active here. But, I am still baking all the yummy things!

I’m hoping these tasty treats are enjoyed at the group’s Sodexo-catered southern family meal this windy autumn day. 🍁

Grandma’s “Rhubarb Dessert” was always made in a 9x13 metal cake pan topped with perfectly golden brown meringue. This version was made in a tart pan with pâte sucrée, rhubarb and strawberries from our garden, and meringue topping…just so I could use my kitchen torch! Enjoying this on my deck on this beautiful Memorial Day, just as grandma would have preferred. ❤️

Black sesame matcha shortbread cookies with a smudge of strawberry glaze. It was fun to experiment with these flavors and the all natural colors. The sweetness from the strawberries works well with the nuttiness of the sesame shortbread and earthy matcha flavors. 😋

They’re back! It was fun to make these for month 2 of 3 from my cake subscription. It’s been a while and these flavors came at the perfect time…when just a taste of the tropics can make your staycation dreams feel real!

These jar cakes are filled with layers of vanilla chocolate chip cake, coconut cream, sweet cream, mango curd, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookie crumbles.
