🐦 Feeding time at the farm! ❤️

Each evening, as the day starts winding down, it’s feeding time for our birds. There’s something so peaceful about watching them all gather in for dinner, and I feel pretty privileged that this gets to be part of my everyday life.

And here’s a little reminder — the farm is open until 7 PM each night! Evenings are one of my favorite times on the farm. The temperatures start cooling down, things get a little quieter, and you might even catch some of our animals at feeding time.

🍑🍎 NEW PIE ALERT! And we need you to be the taste testers!

We were busy making pies again this weekend—both peach AND apple—and I had a thought... why not put them together?!

Two great fruits. One pie. Peach Apple Pie! 🥧

I'll admit, the team was a little skeptical when I told them what we were making. 😂 But then they tried one bite... and now they're hooked!

We only made a limited batch because this one is officially in the testing stage. So now we need YOUR help!

🍅 Can you guess what I had for dinner after a long, HOT weekend? ☀️

A tomato sandwich on our scratch-made jalapeño cheese bread, of course! 😍

Summer is coming to a close—even if the weather definitely says otherwise—so I have to enjoy as many of these simple summer dinners as I can while the tomatoes are still here.

Clara helped me make dinner tonight, and oh my goodness... it was SO good! ❤️ And apparently no tomato sandwich is complete without a few pickles on the side—at least according to Clara. 😂🥒

Fresh tomatoes. Jalapeño cheese bread. Pickles. That's my kind of Sunday-night dinner after a busy weekend on the farm!

Who else is trying to squeeze in as many tomato sandwiches as possible before summer is over? 🍅🙋‍♀️

🌶️ CHILE RELLENOS ARE FULLY STOCKED! 🌶️

We picked, roasted and fried up a WHOLE bunch more yesterday, and our cold case is loaded with freshly made Chile Rellenos! 😍

Made right here at A&H Farm using our homegrown chile peppers — picked from the field, roasted, stuffed with cheese and fried up in our kitchen.

If you’ve been waiting to grab some, NOW is the time! Stock your fridge, grab some for dinner or take a few home for later.

🌶️ Fully stocked right now… but we have a feeling they won’t stay that way for long!

🪁 THE KITES ARE ALREADY FLYING — AND WE’RE OPENING EARLY TODAY! 🪁

The crew from Great American Kites is already getting the sky filled with GIANT kites this morning! 😍 And YES — there will be different kites flying today than yesterday!

We’re opening the gates at 10 AM — one hour early to give you more time to enjoy the farm before the heat of the day. ☀️

🪁 The kites are STILL flying! 🪁

The wind is still a little too strong for the hot air balloons to go up, but the balloon pilots are getting the baskets out now! Come see them up close, check out the equipment, and visit with the pilots while we wait.

🎈 We're not giving up yet! We're still watching the wind and hoping it calms down enough to get the balloons up this evening. 🤞

In the meantime, the giant kites are putting on an incredible show, so come on out and enjoy the evening with us!

If you were here earlier today, remember—your wristband is good for this evening too!

🎈 WILL THE BALLOONS FLY TONIGHT? 🎈

Right now, we don’t know! The wind is still a little too high, but the balloon pilots are HERE, the balloons are HERE, and everyone is ready to go if Mother Nature gives us a break around sunset! 🤞

Even if the winds don’t calm down enough to safely inflate and glow the balloons, the balloon crews will still be set up! You’ll be able to come out, see the baskets and burners up close, visit with the pilots and learn more about these incredible balloons. 🔥🎈

And if you were here earlier today — DON’T TAKE OFF THAT WRISTBAND! Your Saturday wristband is good ALL DAY, including this evening. Come back out and join us!
