🐞🌱 Our Team Does More Than Harvest Crops! 🌱🐞

One of the most important parts of our farm isn't our tractors, greenhouses, or even our crops—it's our team.

When our crew is out picking vegetables, they're doing so much more than harvesting. They're also keeping a close eye on what's happening in the fields. Every day, I receive photos like these from team members who spot insects, plant issues, pollinators, and other things that need attention.

I can't be everywhere at once, so they truly become my eyes in the field.

We're constantly monitoring insect populations on the farm. Some bugs are pests that can damage crops, while others are beneficial insects that help us naturally manage those pests. Knowing exactly what insects are present helps us make important decisions about future beneficial insect releases, pest management strategies, and even how many pollinators we need to bring in.

These observations may seem like small things, but they're critical to growing healthy crops while using the most responsible and sustainable practices possible.

I'm incredibly proud of our team for taking ownership of these details and going above and beyond their job descriptions. Their dedication helps us grow better produce and makes our farm stronger every day.

We did get a little more rain, which means you may find some muddy spots around the farm. But honestly, that's not always a bad thing! 😄

When I was a kid, "mud hopping" was one of my favorite activities. The bigger the mud puddle, the better! Then I had kids of my own... and they were exactly the same. Just look at this picture! 😂 They could find every puddle on the farm and somehow come home wearing half of it.

These days, I tend to steer clear of the mud, but watching kids have that much fun still makes me smile. So grab those rain boots and let them make some memories!
