Rhythm & Brews Festival Mashed in the Middle is a three part, beer-centric, event held in Manhattan, KS. Get Mashed in the Middle with us February 24, 2018 and March 24, 2018.

It serves to celebrate the homebrewer, local breweries and distilleries, and educate the community. Multiple events combine to form Rhythm & Brews Festival August 6, 2016: microbrew sampling to salute Hail the Ale brewing contest; the festival concludes with three musical acts. Start the day with the Brew2Shoe race on Saturday morning. Later, head to GTM Family Center at City Park for regional mi

crobrewery samples in celebration of Hail the Ale competitors. Workshops and samples are a big part of the festivities from 2-5 p.m. A $25 day pass includes 4-ounce samples of microbrews (limited to the first 300 tickets sold). Outside in City Park, enjoy Cox Brothers barbecue and Friendship House restaurant's specialty bierocks. Saturday evening's music festivities begin at 7 p.m. with The Baker Trio, followed by SHEL and Grizfolk. Manhattan KS City Park is the venue for all but the Brew2Show road race (start/finish at Tallgrass Taphouse). August 6, 2016.

Our Story

Mashed in the Middle is a three part, beer-centric, event held in Manhattan, KS. Mashed in the Middle aims to celebrate the homebrewer, local breweries and distilleries, and provide education to the community on beer related topics. Our first event is Saturday, February 24, 2018 -- Mash Off: A BJCP homebrew competition. Metal winners will be awarded at Mash In and the Best in Show brewer will have the opportunity to brew and serve their winning recipe with Little Apple Brewing Company in Manhattan, KS. Join us again Saturday, March 24, 2018 for Mash Up: Beer Seminars given by local experts followed by Mash In: A Beer and Spirits Tasting.
