What a Thrilling Wrap on the Kansas State Fair! Brecken and Valentine showed on Thursday in the Open Class Show and Valentine was selected as the Grand Champion Commercial Ewe! 🏆The excitement was generated by Valentine being a mid-February baby ewe lamb - selected over all the Older Ewe Lambs (that usually win)! 🏆Congrats to Brecken! We are Proud of You for having an Awesome State Fair!

Congratulations to the Dynamic Duo (Brecken Nelson and Carter Watson) on an Amazing Kansas State Fair!🏆 All 4 Winning Ewe Lambs were sired by Tres Amigos – that simply did an Awesome Job on our Ewes. Carter had the Grand Champion Hampshire Ewe and the Fourth Overall Supreme Ewe! Brecken had the Reserve Lightweight Division (Valentine) Commercial Ewe and the Fourth Supreme Commercial Ewe! Additionally, she had Fourth Overall Registered Hampshire Ewe! As a Note: Valentine was purchased from Tyler Rhoads and placed by us. This was Valentine’s first show (born on Valentine’s Day-very young!) and she should have an Incredible Future! She got spooked in the ring by a dog on a leash and didn’t walk out like we prefer. Honestly, I told Brecken that with all the coyotes in Western Kansas – I figured it wouldn’t bother her! To which Brecken said – “We don’t have coyotes on leashes in Western Kansas!” Wether pictures coming.
