Thanks to everyone who came out to pick on Saturday! We picked over 200 baskets again in only 3 hours 👊🏻 Nearly the same amount as our Redhaven harvest on July 25, but we were picking on far fewer trees (so grateful for better yields on the later varieties!) AND we had about twice as many customers!! It was so good to see everyone, hope you all come back next year 🥰 That wraps up the peach 🍑 season for us, stay tuned for details on PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKINS coming soon! 🎃🎃🎃

[SOLD OUT @ 10:30 AM] PEACH PICKING ON AUG 22: We have a date! You’re invited to come and pick your own Madison and Cresthaven peaches at Blossom Valley Orchards in Manheim this Saturday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a limit of one basket per household.

Peaches are priced at $1.17 per pound (about $28 for a half bushel, which is about 24 pounds of peaches.) To answer some of our frequently asked questions up front:

🍑 Are there pre-picked peaches available?
🌱 No, we are not offering pre-picked peaches this time.

🍑 Can I come another day?
🌱 Due to the early freeze and the huge crop loss we faced, no, you cannot come another day to pick peaches. We’re working with a limited amount of ripe fruit and this is the best way we’ve come up with to make sure that the most amount of people get access to our limited crop this year.

🍑 Will you have another date for picking your own peaches?
🌱 It is possible, but it depends on the turnout for this event. The best way to stay up to date on times is to follow us here.

🍑 What type of peaches will be available?
🌱 Madisons and Cresthavens, both freestone yellow peaches. Some white peaches are also available.

🍑 Why is there a limit on the amount of peaches we can pick?
🌱 Much of the region faced an intense freeze that resulted in huge crop losses, so there’s not as much available to pick. By limiting purchases we are hoping to serve as many customers as possible.

🍑 How much are the peaches?
🌱 They are $1.17 per pound.

🍑 What is the limit on picking peaches?
🌱 There is a limit of one basket per household.

🍑 Do you take credit card?
🌱 Yes, with a 3.5% convenience fee. We also take Venmo with a $1.00 convenience fee. Cash or check are preferred.

🍑 Do I need to bring my own baskets?
🌱 Nope! We provide them for you. However if you want to bring boxes to take fruit home in that would be great. We have bags available free of charge.

Hi (and everyone!) Please note that we have NOT announced our next peach picking date yet, but it will likely be mid-August. Watch this space for a formal announcement with the date, time, limits on quantities and the varieties that will be available.

While we wish that we could be open as much as we were last season, that April freeze really did a number on our orchard and many others. According to Penn State, current estimates suggest losses of 70% to 90% across many fruit crops. We remain grateful that there is still some harvest to share with all of you!

We so appreciate all the phone calls, messages, texts and people stopping by the orchard to ask if we’re really done with the first peach picking, and the answer is unfortunately, yes. That’s why we’re listed as “temporarily closed” on Google.

As we all continue to pine for peaches, can you share what you’ve been creating with your bounty from Blossom Valley Orchards? At our July 21 peach picking event, one customer shared with us that they always make a smoked peach cobbler. Doesn’t that sound amazing?

See you soon,

Hillary and Justin Albert

Thanks from the two of us to everyone who came out to pick today! Fun fact: y’all harvested over 5,000lbs of peaches in under four hours this morning! That’s over 200 baskets 👊🏻 We are very grateful we didn’t have to do all that picking ourselves 😅

She said yes!

Or maybe, “She picked him,” is more appropriate. We had a first at Blossom Valley Orchards today: two of our customers got engaged in the orchards. How sweet! 🍑 Send your well-wishes to David Pereyaslov and Jess Trout in the comments.

Also, for those wondering about more peach picking dates, we’re hoping to have some picking days in August. Stay tuned for more information!

Ok folks, here it is! We are planning to be open for peach picking this Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 8 AM - 12 PM. Our Redhaven peaches are just beginning to ripen, but due to the late frost it is a much smaller crop than we typically have!

With this in mind, we are limiting purchases to a maximum of 2 baskets per customer. Sorry if this is inconvenient, but we are hoping to serve as many customers as possible this way. There will be more pick-your-own days later (probably mainly Saturdays in August), so you can always come again if you don't get enough the first time around!

On another note, due to the dry stretch in July followed by heavy rains, a good portion of the Redhavens have split pits. This is exactly what it sounds like - the hard pit inside the fruit actually gets pulled apart as the fruit rapidly increases in size, and there is usually an opening into the center of the pit on either side of the stem.

The important thing to know is that the fruit is still safe to eat and quite delicious! The bummer is that sometimes insects find their way inside the fruit through the opening at the stem. It's also a bit inconvenient to separate the pit from the fruit when you slice them open.

Because of this, we are going to reduce the price on the Redhavens from $1.05/lb to only $0.85/lb (about $20 for a half bushel basket!) Not a bad price considering how hard it is to find local peaches this year!🤪

Looking forward to it! Can't wait to see all of you this Saturday :) 🍑🍑🍑

We are pleased to introduce the farm’s newest residents…ten little bug-eating, alarm sounding machines known as guineas! I’m hoping they will keep the tick population under control at the farm when they are big enough to roam, and at some point either they or their future offspring may be relocated to the orchard to help with insect control up there! Stay tuned to see how this little adventure goes 🤪
