Diana and Daughters LLC

Diana and Daughters LLC Antipasto is our Italian family recipe! This savory sauce paired with your favorite cracker and some We hope you enjoy our antipasto as much as we do.

Our family recipe for antipasto began with my Grandmother Augusta Giordana. She immigrated from Italy to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1906 and brought with her the family's authentic Italian recipes. Our family gatherings, hosted by my mother Josephine, traditionally began with antipasto, red wine, garlic bread and animated conversations. A tradition that I carry on to this day with my child

ren and grandchildren. My grandmother and mother were passionate about cooking for their families and it showed by preparation and presentation of delicious traditional Italian dinners. Watching these women cook influenced me in a positive way, I not only have the love for cooking but the desire to teach and share with others. The main purpose for antipasto in Italian culture was to extend the meal, antipasto literally means “before the meal”. These traditional meals started with antipasto, followed by salad, soup, pasta with meat and a light dessert. The abundance of courses was only part of the experience, each course was enjoyed slowly and accompanied by animated conversation. The combination of antipasto and conversation has maintained our family relationships for generations. Augusta’s Antipasto is named after my grandmother and the label honors my Mother with her portrait. I've named my business Diana and Daughters to continue the family tradition of this recipe. Sincerely,
Diana Woodworth
