Last week I was rearranging the workshop and unpacking all of my market totes when I came across my lip balms.

And I thought to myself…

“Why aren’t these selling?! Last time I had them, I could barely keep them in stock!”

I pondered this mystery for an embarrassingly long moment before realizing something rather important:

This coming Monday will be our final Manlius Monday Market of the season, but don’t worry, we’re not disappearing, in fact we usually being to ramp up production this time of year!

✨🎂 MY WISH CAME TRUE! 🎂✨

I made a birthday wish for something sweet, whimsical, and just a little bit magical…and pop! My ice cream disappeared and was replaced by a bar of Sweet Celebration Soap! 🧁🫧

Created in honor of my birthday, Sweet Celebration is a joyful blend of juicy strawberry and pear, delicate jasmine, creamy vanilla, and a soft touch of white musk. It’s sweet and playful without being overly sugary, like a beautifully frosted celebration made just for grown-ups!

Birthdays may come only once a year, but I think the little moments worth celebrating happen every day. 🥰

✨ The first golden eggs have arrived! ✨

Yesterday was such an exciting day here at Berry Farm & Gardens—we collected our very first two quail eggs!

I couldn’t resist cracking one open, and I was amazed by what was inside. The yolk was rich, vibrant, and much larger than I expected for such a tiny egg. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our little covey thriving and beginning to give back after all the care they’ve received.

A few fun facts about quail eggs:
🌿 Quail eggs have a naturally higher yolk-to-white ratio than chicken eggs, making them wonderfully rich and creamy.
🥚 It takes about 4–5 quail eggs to equal one large chicken egg, but many people love them for their beautiful presentation and rich flavor.
🐥 Coturnix quail are incredibly productive and often begin laying at just 6–8 weeks of age!
💛 Their shells are naturally speckled, making each tiny egg a unique little work of art.

It’s amazing how something so small can bring so much joy. These first two eggs feel like the beginning of another wonderful chapter on our homestead, and we can’t wait to see what the weeks ahead bring.

🌿 Fresh from the garden this morning! Garlic Scapes are here!

If you’ve never cooked with garlic scapes before, you’re in for a treat!

Garlic scapes are the tender flower stalks that garlic plants produce in early summer. We harvest them so the plant can put all of its energy into growing larger bulbs beneath the soil—and the bonus is that they’re absolutely delicious!

They have a fresh, mild garlic flavor that’s less sharp than cloves, making them incredibly versatile in the kitchen.

A few of our favorite ways to use them:
🧄 Chop into scrambled eggs
🥔 Toss with roasted potatoes
🥩 Grill alongside steak or chicken
🥖 Mix into homemade focaccia or biscuits
🥣 Add to soups and stir-fries
🌿 Blend into a delicious garlic scape pesto

They also store wonderfully! Simply keep them in a bag or container in the refrigerator, and they’ll stay fresh for several weeks.

Tomorrow is the day! 🌿✨

I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the very first Manlius Farmers Market in years! It’s such an honor to help bring this wonderful community tradition back, and I can’t wait to spend Monday evenings meeting new faces, catching up with familiar ones, and enjoying everything that makes our village so special.

Join us every Monday from 4:00–8:00 PM, beginning tomorrow, June 29, through August 10, for an evening filled with local vendors, live music, classic cars, and community connections.

I’ve been working nonstop on a HUGE restock of all your favorites! I’ll have a full selection of our handcrafted, grass-fed tallow skincare, artisan soaps, lotions, lip balms, recovery balms, gift sets, and so much more.

And because I couldn’t resist… I’ll also have a limited batch of fresh sourdough chocolate chip cookies and soft sourdough pretzels available while they last! 🥨🍪
