I hear lots of talk about regenerative ag, organic food, health, etc, and very little about the fundamentals of the currency, accounting, and financing models we are using to do all of this.
Apparently Nvidia and Apple are seriously considering investing in OpenAI, which to me seems like the end of human control of stock markets and all that wealth as it get centralized into algorithms and AI data centers.
If we are not talking about building on-farm AI training data centers, distributed blockchain stablecurrencies, and retail investor funded farmers co-ops, we're just going to be a cog in someone else's passive income stream, and that someone is increasingly likely to be a sentient machine by the time this is all done. That's not good for the intelligent machines, or for us.

If you want to stop the amazon from burning, pay farmers to put carbon in the soil. China wants soybeans, and brazil is clearing land to grow it. The only way to change this is with market pull. How many trillion dollars underwater if this plays out and we go with 'business as usual'. Seems like these areas might want to start paying a couple dollars an acre for us farmers to put carbon in the soil.

I suppose it's time to crowdfund a distillery and make sure none of my corn ends up in beer. Corn is for whiskey and what's not good enough for that will clean out your fuel injectors.

Have you ever driven from Mason City to Ames and experienced an offensive odor? The court and the jury got the facts right and hog producers can either clean up their s**t or get sued by farmers and business like Worth Brewing Company who sell product based on quality rather than quantity.

Something does not smell right about this case (pun intended).

All great rivers start isolated, quiet, simple, and become something big. Our great cities depend on the rural backwaters that have been forgotten. Remember the farms, remember the open spaces. We don't need to break up the cities, we need urbanites to vote their money, for rural backwater farmers, so we can feed your people.

Most food, and particularly so artisan organic foods, are the process of turning oil into food. Until now.

Excellent review of the current cheap-oil-energy and material intensity of UK food production and makes a good case for relocalisation as integral to improving the situation.

My customers are in Japan, China, and California. I suppose if my customers are starting to talk about political warfare against welfare-state freeloaders, then I should make sure I have plenty of renewable fuel to sell both sides.
