14 Acre Farm

14 Acre Farm Our page helps us connect with customers. We aren't always online, message us to connect with us! In walking this path, it has led us from one thing to another.

I have been wanting to learn more about growing enough food to keep our family fed. We are growing our own home business of growing produce for our family and hopefully the community. Good, clean, healthy food. We are still learning new methods, but we aim to have chemical-free produce, growing with organic methods, without the certification hoops to jump through. We are looking for ways to market our produce and will be sharing here as well. Follow along and grow with us!

Steve was busy today making a bed for the pie pumpkins. He ended up with more bed materials so made a smaller one near it.

They were quickly planted for fall. We’re hoping the soil mix will work well and isn’t too hot. We planted potatoes one year in straight compost and they grew great leaves but not so great potatoes. ( they were dime sized). Don’t believe everything you see on youtube or read on a blog. 🤪 I guess we learned from it however. He made some Hugelkultur beds as those have worked well for us.

Now to keep the sheep out of this yard until fall. ☺️
