Texas is quickly becoming one of our top states for saffron growers, and so many people still have no idea this incredible spice can be grown right in their own backyard!

Saffron (Crocus sativus) can be surprisingly easy to grow in Texas — in the ground, raised beds, or containers.

And here’s what makes saffron so incredible…

🌸 Plant the corms
🌸 Watch for beautiful purple flowers in the fall
🌸 Harvest REAL saffron from your own garden
🌸 The corms can multiply underground over time

The spice you see selling for incredible prices comes from those little purple flowers — just 3 tiny red stigmas per flower!
