We have been keeping a close eye on the EHV-1 outbreak since the news first broke earlier this week, and while there are still no travel bans in the Southeast, and the cowhorse community does not seem likely to be impacted; we have discussed our options and the current situation with our vet in detail and have come to the decision that no show is worth risking the further spread of this potentially devastating virus or risking the life of even one of our equine companions. We have spoken with many attendees that were planning to attend by phone already, but please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions.

Please realize that this was a very difficult call for us to make, knowing that many of you need this last minute qualifier in order to make finals. We are already in talks with DRTPA as to how best to handle this dilemma going forward.
