🎉 WHAT A YEAR FOR MANOR ISD FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES! 🎉
As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, we are proud to celebrate a year of innovation, leadership, recognition, and service to our students and families.
🥣 2,228,973 meals served
✅ Breakfast: 804,392
✅ Lunch: 1,267,038
✅ Dinner: 157,543
✅ Snacks: 32,834
Most importantly, every meal was provided FREE to Manor ISD students and families, ensuring all students had access to nutritious meals that support learning and success.
🏆 This year, Manor ISD Food & Nutrition Services was honored to receive both the Cream of the Crop Award and the USDA Foods Challenge Award from the Texas Department of Agriculture.
⭐ We made history by becoming the first school district in Texas to achieve Eat Real Certification, demonstrating our commitment to serving healthier, high-quality meals for students.
📺 Our innovative programs received statewide attention and were featured in multiple news stories highlighting:
🌱 Our Classroom-to-Café Program, where students grow vegetables and herbs that are served in school cafeterias.
🥗 Our groundbreaking Eat Real Certification journey.
🎥 Our work was also showcased nationally in a video produced by Action for Healthy Kids and the USDA during the Healthy Meals Summit.
👩🍳 Professional development remained a priority, with five team members selected by the Texas Department of Agriculture to attend the prestigious Farm Fresh Culinary Workshop at the Culinary Institute of America.
👏 We are also proud of the professional achievements of our leadership team:
• Our Director was selected as a member of the Culinary Institute of America's Healthy Kids Collaborative.
• Our Director and Coordinator were selected to join Scratchworks, a national network advancing scratch cooking in schools.
• Our Director was selected by the School Nutrition Association and Texas Association of School Nutrition to represent Texas at the National Leadership Conference.
• Our Director was elected as the Area 10 Representative for the Texas Association of School Nutrition.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the dedication of our incredible cafeteria teams, warehouse staff, managers, central office team, district leadership, campus staff, students, families, and community partners.

Al concluir el ciclo escolar 2025–2026, nos enorgullece celebrar un año de innovación, liderazgo, reconocimiento y servicio a nuestros estudiantes y familias.

Lo más importante es que todas las comidas fueron gratuitas para los estudiantes y familias de Manor ISD, garantizando que cada estudiante tuviera acceso a alimentos nutritivos que apoyan su aprendizaje y éxito.
🏆 Este año, los Servicios de Alimentación y Nutrición de Manor ISD recibieron el prestigioso Premio Cream of the Crop y el Premio USDA Foods Challenge otorgados por el Departamento de Agricultura de Texas.
⭐ Hicimos historia al convertirnos en el primer distrito escolar de Texas en obtener la Certificación Eat Real, demostrando nuestro compromiso de ofrecer comidas más saludables y de alta calidad a nuestros estudiantes.
📺 Nuestros programas innovadores recibieron reconocimiento estatal y fueron destacados en múltiples reportajes que resaltaron:
🌱 Nuestro programa Del Aula a la Cafetería, donde los estudiantes cultivan verduras y hierbas que posteriormente se sirven en las cafeterías escolares.
🥗 Nuestro innovador proceso para obtener la Certificación Eat Real.
🎥 Nuestro trabajo también fue presentado a nivel nacional en un video producido por Action for Healthy Kids y el USDA durante la Cumbre de Comidas Saludables (Healthy Meals Summit).
👩🍳 El desarrollo profesional continuó siendo una prioridad, y cinco miembros de nuestro equipo fueron seleccionados por el Departamento de Agricultura de Texas para asistir al prestigioso Taller Culinario Farm Fresh en el Culinary Institute of America.
👏 También celebramos los logros profesionales de nuestro equipo de liderazgo:
• Nuestro Director fue seleccionado como miembro del Healthy Kids Collaborative del Culinary Institute of America.
• Nuestro Director y nuestra Coordinadora fueron seleccionados para formar parte de Scratchworks, una red nacional dedicada a promover la cocina desde cero en las escuelas.
• Nuestro Director fue seleccionado por la School Nutrition Association y la Texas Association of School Nutrition para representar a Texas en la Conferencia Nacional de Liderazgo.
• Nuestro Director fue elegido como Representante del Área 10 de la Texas Association of School Nutrition.
Nada de estos logros habría sido posible sin la dedicación de nuestros increíbles equipos de cafetería, personal de almacén, gerentes, personal de oficina central, líderes del distrito, personal de los campus, estudiantes, familias y socios comunitarios.
