We wanted to take a minute and say thank you to all that reached out to check on us during the fire today. We were so blessed to have so many text or message and ask if we were ok and if we needed help. We appreciate you all more than you know! It is a little after 11 pm and we are just being allowed back home. We have been blocked out of our neighborhood since 3 this afternoon. I didn't want to wake anyone up by texting this late so I thought I would post here to update any who were still awake and scrolling. Since it is so dark out, we can't fully assess everyone however, it looks as though everyone is ok. We lost 4 hens and a few roosters are not accounted for. And the turkeys who have been suffering through a sinus infection seem to be a little worse (from the smoke). We have had minimal heat damage to the water systems and some of the smaller feeders and feed buckets. So over all, we made it through pretty well! We are going to be keeping an eye on all of the animals because of all of the smoke and heat so we will not be offering tours for a bit so bear with us. We will still be accepting animals needing a home however, we will have cages sitting in the front for drop offs so there is not additional stress to the current animals. Thank you all again for your prayers for our farm and our family. They worked! We are all safe and sound! We love you all!
