When you stop buy today for cherry pies keep in mind…cherry pie filling should NOT be bright red!

Many people don't realize that natural cherry pie filling should actually be a brownish red color if using Montgomery cherries or dark purplish color if using dark cherries. Bright, artificial-looking red fillings usually get their color from added food dyes (like Red 40)
