During our visit to Hard Row to Hoe Vineyards in the Lake Chelan AVA last month, we tasted two refreshing white wines and 2025 Shameless H***y Rosé.

We’ve always embraced this description by co-owner Judy Phelps: “Our Shameless H***y wines don’t take themselves too seriously — so you don’t have to swirl and pontificate. Just chill, pour, and enjoy.” This Gamay Noir-based rosé is sassy and zippy, and we’d quaff it all year round.

2025 Nauti Buoy®, Hard Row’s best-selling and signature white wine, comprises 80% Riesling and 20% Muscat, crafted primarily from estate-grown, organically farmed grapes. We adore the citrus freshness and wet-stone minerality.

2023 SMS is a delicious, easy-drinking blend of Sauvignon Blanc (55%), Sémillon (31%), and Muscadelle (14%). We thought the citrus flavors and round, creamy finish made this approachable white wine a standout.

We’re down to the last few bottles of our 2021 Shameless H***y Red Blend! Mostly Barbera with a bit of Cab Franc, this little lady is a burst of bright cherry and raspberry notes, with a lingering finish that will leave you yearning for more.

To see her out in style, we’re also discounting glass pours. Come on up and see us!

We can’t do much about the smoke outside, but we can pour you a great glass of wine inside.

Our tasting room is cool, comfortable, and equipped with air purification, so if you’re looking for a pleasant way to spend the afternoon, we’ve got a seat waiting.

Summer wine of dreams ☀️

Crisp, slightly off-dry, and aged in a sandstone amphora, our Sandstone Estate Riesling delivers bright fruit, subtle minerality, and gentle texture. Organically grown in our Glacial Gravel vineyard, it’s a pure expression of Lake Chelan from the ground up.

Made from certified organic grapes, our 2022 Barbera opens with lavender, plum and blueberry, with a little earthy depth underneath. Medium- to full-bodied, with fresh acidity and gentle tannins, it has enough presence for grilled flatiron steak while still keeping the whole plate lively. Aging in 20% new oak leaves the fruit firmly in the lead.
