Sorry we’ve been away for awhile, but we’ve been hard at work over the last couple of years building up our homestead. We can’t wait for spring to get here and finish up some of the last projects on the farm. We’ll be posting a full menu of all products that we have or will have for sale in the near future. Spring is finally here at the Boeringa Homestead! 🌸

As we embrace the season and all of the new beginnings it brings, we wanted to hop on here quickly and share that due to rising costs in providing our animals with the highest quality of life, we’ve had to adjust to combat operational costs by raising our regular chicken egg price to $6 a dozen moving forward.

Long time, no see! 👋🏽

We’ve been busy keeping up with our ever growing crew and preparing for the winter ahead! Now that Halloween is over, we figured we hop on & ask if any one has any extra un-painted pumpkins or straw that they’re no longer using for decorations… we have some friends who might really enjoy them! 🐷🎃 🐓

The Homestead welcomed some new kids (and piglet and lamb) last month! 🐑🐷🐐

Say hello to Nutmeg, Meadow, and the crazy kids - Huckleberry, Clover, and Clementine!

The babies are all settled in nicely and are as silly and spoiled as ever.

We’re feeling extra grateful that we’re able to expand and add livestock to the homestead this year! Hopefully next spring we’ll be able to announce some goat babies! 🥰

Sorry we’ve been slacking on posting lately, the homestead has been keeping us busy. 👩🏽‍🌾

With the much-needed rain making an appearance over the weekend, the garden is showing just how happy it is by producing baskets and baskets full of fresh veggies!

We can hardly keep up and have been baking countless loaves of zucchini bread and canning lots of pickles and jam. 😋

One of our biggest goals with homesteading is to be more sustainable and to minimize unnecessary waste, especially when it comes to the animals that give their lives to feed our family.

With that being said, we are SO happy to be given the opportunity to team up with North dogs’ health and well-being!

Now, not only are our animals helping to feed us, but thanks to North Dog, they’re able to be yummy treats for four-legged family members too!
