Take the viral dot cake but make it an oatmeal cream pie and celebrate America's 250th birthday!

These oatmeal cream pie flights will go out in the stand in the morning!

You get 3 different gourmet flavors!

S'mores - A cinnamon oatmeal cookie sandwiches a milk chocolate ganache which is enrobed in a toasted marshmallow buttercream... heavenly!

Birthday Dot Cake - an almond cake flavored oatmeal cookie with a vanilla cream.

Banana Chocolate Chip - a soft and chewy oatmeal banana cookie chocked full of mini chocolate chips sandwiches a brown sugar buttercream

The stand won't open until Saturday morning this weekend! Please read why below...

So these scones are absolutely DELICIOUS! 🤤 I will have lemon blueberry and strawberry rhubarb available this weekend for you.

HOWEVER, I had someone else who also thought the scones were delicious (amongst all the other baked goods that were in the stand) and who unfortunately was not a paying customer...our cat! 🐈

We decided the best way to keep her out is to put up a screen over our window opening. Great!

Except....shipping of said screen is delayed. It was supposed to be here Tuesday but now isn't tracking to get here today until late afternoon. Not so great.

Then once it is here I have to get it installed 💪 and I don't want to put the food items out in the stand before then in case the cute little stinker comes sampling for some more.

So the plan is to get the baked goods out Saturday morning 🌅 by 7:30! If you absolutely can't wait for something, please let me know and I'll see if I can run it out to you tonight. But I won't lie, having the extra few hours to complete my bakes is a welcome happenstance...sooo some things might not be quite ready tonight.

I know I am transitioning to monthly bakery pop ups but is there any interest in cinnamon rolls or scones for this weekend? I have ingredients I don't want going to waste before the next pop up.

Through lots of prayer and consideration, I have made the decision to restock baked goods for the farmstand once a month rather than weekly unless you have placed a pre-order. Pre-orders will be available weekly and that will start next week.

There are several reasons on why I have come to this decision but the biggest reason of all is that I truly believe God wants me to.
I'm not entirely sure why but I do have my ideas.

I battled a little bit in my conversations with God.

"But God, what will people think of me? Will they think I'm a failure?"

"But God, I have worked so hard planning things out for this season."

"But God, I need to help pay bills for my family."

"But God, I'm scared."

But then I began to realize that I'm putting myself as the focus here. God is the one who has allowed all of this to happen in the first place. It's because of him that I even have the means to do any of this. He should be getting all of the glory.

He is the one that will provide. He is the one that will chart my ways. He is the one that matters above it all. And my faith is in Him.

Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Hello! I'm still shooting to have baked goods out in the stand for you all tomorrow (Friday, May 29th) at 4pm!

However...and this is a big, kinda long winded however...so please bare with me. I won't be doing any sourdough this week. I also might be completely overshooting my menu and might not be able to deliver on everything I've listed but I'm going to try so so hard.

My knee still isn't doing great. It is better than it was but not 100%. And I just keep pushing myself because it's who I am.

I had an appointment yesterday regarding my knee. I hyperextended it and the doctor said I need to be babying it a bit more than I am...more consistent with icing it and working on getting the inflammation to stay down. If it doesn't get better in a couple weeks, I'll need physical therapy.

I'm so frustrated with how this farmstand season is starting for me especially with the way last season started. I hate to be so inconsistent. I also will always prioritize my family before my desires and they have also had a lot going on.

So as much as I am pushing through to share my passion with you, I might not always be able to be as consistent as I want to be.

And as I was praying about that, God revealed to me that it's ok. I don't need to be one of these perfectly portrayed farmstands. They all have sleepless nights, messy kitchens after the end of a bake day and stressed out moments as they race to get things finished, struggle to get their labels right, or their bakes just don't turn out. And so do all of you. In your day to day lives, whatever it is that you do...you have bad days, you have bad moments. You get tired and overwhelmed.

God doesn't promise us easy. He doesn't promise that we will be spared from trials. But he does promise that we are not alone in them.

So I won't promise you perfection. But I will promise you communication over the real and the raw. Because there is a beauty in it and I'm ready to encompass it. I'm ready to find joy in the junk!

My youngest has been eating gluten free for a couple weeks now. She keeps asking me if I'm making anything gluten free for the stand.

In favor of her I am introducing some more gluten free items to the menu.

This week: chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter fudge...both of which are 🤌 so so good!

**Please eat at your own risk. I do my best not to cross contaminate but these are made in the same kitchen as wheat baked items.**

My knee is still healing but is much better! Thank you all for the prayers because this week is crazy busy and I needed to be able to walk.

Despite all that I have going on, I'm still here for you all! I'll be baking up a storm and will have fresh baked goods out in the stand Friday at 4pm. ( A secret between you and me...they will actually be out there closer to 2 pm because I have a commitment at 4...🤫 Shhh don't tell 🤭)
