We couldn’t resist adding one more special lot! After the final heifer sells, we’ll be offering a custom, handcrafted knife from Forges and Torches. Every dollar raised will go to support the Mission Valley FFA chapter, an organization that’s meant a great deal to all of us.

Jesse Bruner has been a huge asset for all of our welding projects and is incredibly talented at the forge!

Last spring we set out to find a true genetic outlier-one that still fit the core principles we value. Ranking #1 in his contemporary group at both weaning and yearling, he backs it up with a high level combination of carcass traits. 🌻 30th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL 🌻

In celebration of our 30th annual production sale, we wanted to do something special. After considerable thought and debate, a decision was made to offer our picks of the spring 2024 heifers. Last spring we selected 4 heifers that had the makings of being the future of Sunflower Genetics. They were flushed as 12-month-old heifers and we have an exciting set of ET calves all sired by our new herd sire, GW High Ground. They were then flushed a couple more times with some embryos going in last fall or frozen to be used this spring. The decision to sell them was not taken lightly as we’ve rarely ever sold our top end heifers.
