Elk Run Farm Elk Run Farm grows fresh fruits and vegetables for the food banks of the South King County Food Coalition

Elk Run Farm grows fruits, vegetables, and herbs for the 12 food banks of the South King County Food Coalition. Located on 4.5 acres of a former golf course in suburban Maple Valley, WA, the farm uses a mix of education, volunteer work, and community partnerships to help increase food security across our region. Every school year the farm partners with the Tahoma High School Plant Science program

where students spend one class period a week working and learning on the farm in the spring and fall. During the summer, 6-10 youth work on the farm through our paid internship program where they learn small-scale no-till farming, group decision making, and leadership skills. Community members help harvest vegetables as often as three times a week during the peak season months of July-September, and there are always projects happening around the farm as well. 🌻 Chef Elaina Yoon's The Reserved Table Co 4 COURSE DINNER highlighting the diverse crops we grow here at Elk Run Farm. This year we are offering a choice of wild caught salmon, chicken, or vegetarian main dish. Dinner tickets are $125 and include 2 drink tickets for beer, wine, or crafted mocktail (Rosemary Pear 🍐).

🧁 The Dessert Dash is back! All desserts will be provided from the uncompromising Lydia's Cakes & Confections. Her pastries, cakes, and cookies (Mama Hoyt's Oatmeal is a personal fav!) are insanely good.

🍷 Wine is being provided from our two local favorites! UVA FUREM Winery right here in Maple Valley and Elevate Vineyards locally owned in Hobart with grapes grown at high elevation in Chelan.

Elk Run Farm community! As you may know, our Harvest For All farm to table dinner fundraiser is scheduled for Oct 2. We are surrounded by generous community members who assist us in making this event memorable and a successful fundraiser, and for that we are grateful!

We have an absolutely stunning menu planned and are asking our community if they have any connections acquiring wild salmon for our dinner. Please reach out to Joy if you have any folks that may be able to assist us in obtaining 80-90 lbs of salmon.

Great (very warm) day Maple Valley Food Bank doing our annual farm stand with our summer intern group! The squash blossoms, plums, raspberries, eggplants, and tomatillos were the first to go! This is always our favorite workshop of the summer - a full circle experience - to see how things start from seed and wind up on someone’s dinner plate!

Again, designed by Chef Elaina Yoon of .co, it highlights the spectrum of diverse crops we grow here at Elk Run Farm for the food banks of South King County. This year we are offering a choice of protein and serving side dishes and salad family style at each table.
