Loved the opportunity to teach a gardening/floral workshop for some beautiful women in my church congregation this week.

This class gave me a chance to try some new things. I wanted to provide the focal flowers for my arrangements and dry stored 56 peonies. I was a bit skeptical, but it absolutely worked. (That room smelled divine).

I designed four table arrangements and demonstrated a hand tied arrangement. They were all unique and I even had a hard time picking my favorite.

Pictures 1 and 2- Everything was grown on our urban farm.

Pictures 3 and 4- Our stems were used for focals in each of these arrangements. Secondary flowers and filler were sourced from other local Utah farms.

Picture 5- A handful of peonies! Spring flowers are so fleeting, but absolutely stunning.

Everyone can garden. Grow what you love and share your abundance. πŸ’

Saturday was the annual Utah Flower Conference. One of the highlights for me was hearing from Ellen Frost. Talking about her own flower journey she said, β€œI believed in local flowers and was willing to prove it.”

I have read that sentence over and over.

Throughout the past three years, I have had a front row seat to witness the impact of local flowers in my own little community.

I took time after the conference and scrolled through photos of my flowers. While the pictures were of flowers, what I saw in the photos was a lot of hard work, hope, and I saw you; a community who also believes in local flowers.

As I enter this fourth season, I invite you to follow along and discover for yourself the magic, beauty, and uniqueness of Utah grown flowers.

We said farewell to August with one of our busiest and most beautiful weeks ever! It was such a joy to have so many opportunities to create and share our flowers.

1- We provided arrangements and stems for a local wedding reception. These colors are stunning! Everything truly turned out so beautiful!

2- A little behind the scenes. This photo represents all the prep work before an event. These buckets and buckets of blooms were harvested, stems were stripped, conditioned, and ready to be arranged. Shoutout to Maple Bloom Flower Farm for supplemental celeb misty lisianthus stems and Dream Acre Flower Farm for supplemental madame butterfly snapdragon stems.

3- Congratulations to the happy couple! This is the final product for the reception. This was such a beautiful experience for us!

4- Our subscription bouquets for this week. Love sharing these bright colors at the end of the summer!

5- Absolutely loved the look of this arrangement; these stems naturally spilled over the vase. (While we will always love a straight stem, those stems with a bit of a whimsy can be so fun to design with).

6, 7, and 8- Beautiful custom orders from this week. We know there are many places to get flowers; so when someone orders our flowers it means so much! Sincerely grateful and continually in awe of such a supportive community!

Entering the weekend with a lot of beauty to share. Here are the highlights:

1- Celebrated a mom and her sweet new baby with this custom bouquet.

2- Got Sunflowers? We love them! 🌻

3- Bright and beautiful for this custom order.

4- Market Bouquet. We weren’t able to make the market this week and one of our customers missed getting their flowers so they placed an order with us. We truly have the best community.πŸ’›

5- Nature is awesome. Harvesting in the evening brought us this gem, a little lady bug and a sleeping bee sharing same leaf.

6- One of our zinnia patches. This variety is our favorite zinnia.

7- Subscription bouquets filled with late summer color.
