The idea of creating an after-dinner cordial started when we tasted home-made limoncello for the first time. “Why don't we come up with something that we can make?” was our thinking. We decided to try making a liqueur with our favorite spice – ginger. After experimenting with some of our other favorite flavors, we came up with a smooth ginger liqueur. It wasn't long before family and friends were

asking for it when they came to the house. We began to make bigger and bigger batches to keep up with the demand. Over dinner, we introduced him to The Big O™. “You've got to take this to market,” he said after he tasted it. We were flattered but didn't give it serious consideration until Tom called with information on how to get started. He was serious – and since Bill had recently been laid off, we became serious, too. From the small batches crafted in our kitchen, we worked to perfect the recipe for a 100-gallon batch. Although we didn't plan it that way, we made our first large batch on the Supermoon of 2011. We think you'll agree The Big O™ is smooth, versatile, and delicious.

Meet ⭐️ All Is Pear & Bright ⭐️. She’s got bourbon, Big O Ginger Liqueur, pear, lemon, and maple warming you up from the inside (the weather’s got the outside handled 🙄) while you wrap gifts or just hide from the chaos for a minute.

It’s gingery, pear-forward, lightly spiced and just sweet enough. Basically my kind of holiday cheer 🎄. Recipe below if you need a little something to sip while the holidays... holiday. 🥂

ALL IS PEAR & BRIGHT

INGREDIENTS
2oz Bourbon
1/2oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
3/4oz Pear Nectar
1/2oz Lemon Juice
1/3oz Maple Syrup
Thyme, dehydrated pear & star anise, for garnish

HOW TO
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a festive glass over fresh ice, garnish, and sip while everything around you gets just a little bit softer at the edges.

When I received a new bottle of Ginger Liquer from I wanted to do something Penicillin-adjacent with it. I love Penicillins but rarely make them because I’m too busy to make honey-ginger syrup. I didn’t want the traditional Scotch base to overpower the ginger liqueur, so I used a lightly peated Irish whiskey instead. It took some experimentation with ratios, but this spec really lets the ginger shine.

IRISH PENICILLIN

2 oz. Irish whiskey
1 oz. Ginger Liqueur
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz. Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5yo peated whisky

Shake first three ingredients with ice, then double-strain into festive rocks glass over clear ice (by ). Float peated whisky on top. Garnish with candied ginger by .spices.

Muddle:

5 pitted Cherries
1/4-1/2 oz Agave
1 oz Lime Juice

Add ice

1 3/4 oz Tequila Blanco
1/2 oz Ginger
1/4 oz Orange Liqueur

Shake, shake, shake! Strain and garnish with a stick of Rosemary.

The Winter Mojito is a tasty winterized version of the minty rum cocktail! There’s dark rum and cinnamon that give some warming notes that go perfectly with the spicy ginger flavor!

ginger liqueur gives a warm fresh ginger and citrus flavor to the drink making it perfect for these colder months. They use fresh hand-cut ginger in their liqueur giving it a little extra snap!🫚🔥
So warm yourself by the fire and be sure to enjoy this wintery rum and ginger sipper!🥃❄️🔥

Barware is

Winter Mojito❄️🥃🫚
6-8 Mint Leaves
1/2oz Cinnamon Syrup
3/4oz Lime Juice
1oz Ginger Liqueur
2oz Dark Rum
2oz Ginger Ale

In a shaker, add mint, cinnamon syrup, and lime juice and lightly muddle. Then add your ginger liqueur and dark rum with ice. Shake until chilled and fine strain into glass with fresh ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with mint and fresh ginger. Enjoy!!
