🍁Great job this past season, Caleb!🍁

This year and last, Caleb, the 21 year old (now 22) grandson of Tom & Sylvia Boice has stepped into the role of production manager and is doing a great job!

It takes knowledge of the state-of-the-art equipment and the evaporating process, extreme dedication, unwavering determination, skill in decision-making and managing & great patience to be a great sugarmaker, and Caleb has all of these qualities for a young man.

We're pleased to have the support of the CNY Maple Festival in promoting our farm and the other area maple producers on their page this year! Spring is a busy time for all of us, getting ready for the crowds to visit our small town of Marathon! Special thanks to Christa Boice for a great write-up of what's new around Cooper Hill Maple! 🍁

This maple recipe sounds delicious for breakfast on any morning, rain or shine!

Maple Pecan Rolls

Ingredients:
1 cup warm milk
2¼ tsp active dry yeast
¼ cup maple syrup
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
¼ cup melted butter
3½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt

Filling:
½ cup brown sugar
¾ cup chopped pecans
¼ cup softened butter

Instructions:
In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Add maple syrup, eggs, and melted butter. Mix well.

Gradually add flour and salt. Knead until soft dough forms.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Roll out dough, spread butter, and sprinkle brown sugar and pecans.

Roll tightly, slice, and place in a baking dish.
Let rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
