Makes me smile every time! This calf drinks her milk then is just layed out for a nap.

Today was Orca’s turn! A beautiful heifer calf. This calf’s sire(father) is a jersey. So the calf is half jersey, quarter Hereford, eighth milking shorthorn and eighth Ayrshire. Orca will be raising her calf and we will milk the extra until eventually the calf will take all Orca has to give.

Look what’s back in stock!

Weston did a great job raising his meat birds this summer. He had 193 Cornish cross chickens and 44 young roos processed! And he has around 130 hens and pullets in his laying flock.

Lila with her bull calf! I artificially inseminated Lila with black angus semen, usually those calves come out mostly black. Lila is a quarter jersey, quarter guernsey, and half Hereford and the calf came out with that traditional jersey color. Interesting.🤔
Lila will raise this calf and we will milk her for the extra until the calf gets to where it drinks all of her milk.
