LAST EGG!!!! Yesterday my last flock of chickhens went to their new home at The Bloom-n-Hen Homestead. They are adding my red mottled Pita Pinta Asturiana's to their flocks. If anyone wants this beautiful breed please contact them. The picture is of the last egg they layed before they were picked up. Hopefully j will get things worked out so I can start up again. These unfair local ordinances need to be changed. I thought I live in a free country but apparently not.

TODAY'S THE DAY FINALLY to see if I get to keep my chickens. It took nearly 2 months of waiting for the hearing date. The township says I need to have 5 acres to have livestock on my property. Nowhere in ordinance does it say poultry is livestock. In fact the State of Michigan's definition states poultry is not livestock. Wish me luck!!
