We were so fortunate to receive a Choose Iowa grant from Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig’s office and IDALS for 2025-2026!

The funds were used to construct a new building that is a space for Tanya and the design team to create their specialty products that are for sale in the sales barn.

The new building is connected to the sales barn, so she can leave her decorations out and create some new items if we run low or need to modify something to make it perfect for someone! In the past, the design team would stay up until 2-3am the night before we open, creating a rush to get cleaned up, decor put away and sales items put out. We are almost never actually ready in the barn at 9:00am on opening day! We think this facility will change that for the better!

There are just a few sheets of plywood left to get put up but the building is complete otherwise!

We thank Secretary Naig and the Choose Iowa team for selecting us for this award. It could not have happened with it!

If you are in or near Cherokee, I can meet you, you can drop it off to me during the day or I can pick it up from you.

You can drop them at the farm anytime too, on the picnic table by the barn!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

It was definitely challenging for us with the weather this year, but we sincerely thank you all for joining the tree farm tradition or sticking with us again!

We’ll reload the fields in the spring and look forward to seeing you all again in 2026!

PS- Opening day for 2026 is 11 months from tomorrow!!

We have a beautiful preordered cemetery saddle on the “I didn’t order that” board game.

These are gorgeous and meant to sit on top of a headstone at the cemetery. It has padded legs that bend around the headstone. The pads grip so it doesn’t fall off. It can also be placed at the base of the stone.

They are incredibly time consuming to make each one, so it would be a travesty to throw it away!
We can change easily remove the feathers and change the bow color if needed!

We still have several trees available for you to pick from! They are all inside, protected from the brutal winter conditions we are experiencing!

Open by appointment to accommodate your busy schedule! Evenings and weekends!!

Today is the last day for our season! 1-5pm

-The cut your own fields are CLOSED due to too much snow. Our babies are being stepped on.

- We will have some great “deals” as we play a fun game I like to call “I didn’t order that”.

-We have a couple hundred feet of garland available today that we special ordered for people, only for them to tell us “I didn’t order that”. If we told you we were sold out of garland, we are sorry. Today is your chance to get some, at a reduced rate. The winner of the game is the person looking for the best deals!

-We also have a big selection of precut trees still available. A few were just put out yesterday as the poles cleared.

- We also have a few pre order trees that we have had no communication on, so they are going to the posts for sale today too!

We often pull the best trees for the special orders so there will be some very nice trees available today!
