Magnolia Road Self-Serve Stand

Crafted from a recycled military locker and established July 9, 2025, Magnolia Road Self-Serve Stand located at 4478 Magnolia Road is just another example of how my amazing husband works so hard to make all of my dreams come true. With the help of some dear friends, we began clearing our new land and even added a couple of wells. We spoke with the power company, obtained a 911 address and permits

for electricity. Then, on January 9, 2023, that awful tornado struck our area. We huddled in the hallway with our dogs, praying as it passed over us. I remember asking God to ensure that "everything living would still be alive when the storm was over" and then jokingly asking Him to place his hand on "that silver car in the yard, because I am going to need a way to work when this is over." In less than a minute, our roof was peeled back, our RV destroyed, my greenhouses leveled, and chicken coops lifted up and moved over at least six inches. EVERYTHING was still alive, the chicks that just hatched, the cats and birds in my daughter's RV (which we found flipped over and crushed more than 40 feet from where it had been parked), my little family, and even my silver car (I still wish I had thought to ask Him to place His hands on my roof)! Our home looked like a war zone, but there wasn't time to cry about it. We found ourselves surrounded by coworkers and family. Within an hour our little house was being tarped and boarded up (thank you again, Chipola College Facilities). Within three hours, those same dear friends that helped us clear our farmland pulled in with a skid steer and dump trailer ready to work. We were overwhelmed, but even in the devastation, we KNEW we were blessed. The rest of that year, and the first three months of 2024 were spent rebuilding, and our dream had to wait. So, we made the best of things, choosing to trust in God's timing and remain content where we were with what we had. We stopped putting things off "until we get to the farm" and started living our dreams where we were. It is a beautiful example of what we can build together (even from discarded things), and we have only just begun.
