I am so so so over these fire ants. I went out to do my chores with the chickens and ended up in the middle of World War III. An entire army of fire ants decided to invade, and I had to go full tactical mode to defend the coop. I’m exhausted, covered in bites, I’m swollen head to toe. Itching like crazy. I think I’ve officially earned my stripes as a chicken-keeping soldier. Ok well after killing about 200 of them I went in and found my knight in shining armor, a.k.a. Brian he was the real soldier he got rid of the rest of them.

Big changes are coming to our little corner of the world! We are so excited to announce that we are officially rebranding as Low-N-Behold Homestead.

Why the change? We’ve been reflecting on our journey, and we feel this new name captures the heart of what we do so much better. Recently, we weathered a tough storm, and in the aftermath, we’ve decided to use this as an opportunity to start fresh while we rebuild.

We are so grateful to share that all of our animals are safe and sound—even if some are currently settling into new spots! We are looking forward to this new chapter and would love for you to continue following along as we grow and build something even better. Thank you for being part of our journey!
