We have arrived to the place where we become just a little cooler in the desert 😎

Failure is the tutor sent by God. If we don’t learn from it, we fail twice. If we learn from it, we gain wisdom.🙏

Back in early February, we planted 380 lavender plants with one goal: to see just how well they could handle our summer conditions with minimal intervention.

We intentionally did not provide shade and followed a strict watering schedule. We knew there would be some casualties, but this test was important. It allowed us to learn exactly what our lavender needs—and when it needs it—to thrive in future summers.

And the results? We lost 25% of that field.
This failed loss has gifted us tremendous data on how to keep our future 5,000 plants thriving summer after summer.

And now that means…

💜 THE GREEN LIGHT IS ON FOR REPLACING THE LOST AND PLANTING THE REMAINING 5,000 PLANTS! 💜

This is such an exciting milestone for us. We now have definite GODfidence, and direction to move forward.

The journey continues… We are so thankful for your patience and support! We can't wait to offer our community a special place to visit!💜🙏

30 days condensed into 1 min 15.
Finally done with the tortoise pens! 🙌
We planted a Dwarf Everbearing Black Mulberry Tree and a Moringa Tree in each pen for year-round superfoods and shade! 😎
All that's left is to plant Broadleaf Plantain, Nopal Cactus Pads, Hibiscus and Dandelion! 🌼

We hope everyone has had a wonderful day, and that you all rest well this evening! 🤍

😎About Blue Death-Feigning Beetles
🕷Native Habitat: Our backyard. The Beautiful Sonoran Desert 🌵
🕷Characteristics: Waxy coating is blue-gray color that comes from a waxy secretion that protects them from drying out in the heat.
If they get wet or touch moisture, this wax can temporarily wear off or turn dark, but it usually returns over time once they dry out.
🕷Behavior: They get their name because they tend to play dead when startled or threatened.
They really ham it up too, lying fully on their back with legs pointed straight up to the sky in an apparent effort to remind the world how truly unappetizing a dead beetle can look. It works too! Many spiders and other predators prefer live prey and will often ignore (what appears to be) a dead beetle.
🕷Non-Venomous and often kept as pets do to their docile nature.
